The Buffalo Bills and Stefon Diggs were ready to part ways.
The talented wide receiver had overstayed his welcome in upstate New York, and the team allowed him to seek a trade partner.
The Houston Texans made the most of the situation and swiftly made a move to acquire him, leaving Josh Allen with little to no options in the passing game.
When asked about this trade, Allen was blunt and straightforward, but he didn’t take a shot at Diggs.
Instead, he said: “It’s definitely hard to part ways with a guy who’s been instrumental in our success over the last 4 years,” per Matt Parrino.

While Diggs was obviously Allen’s preferred target, their relationship wasn’t exactly in the best place, or so it seemed.
Diggs repeatedly went at Allen on the sidelines, complaining when he wasn’t targeted and whatnot.
Even his brother Trevon took a shot at Allen and urged the Bills to trade him away.
Ironically, Allen and the Bills offense got significantly better when Diggs took a step back and wasn’t much of a factor on the offense, so it’s not like he was the only reason why Allen was able to put up big numbers.
He burned all bridges when he left the Minnesota Vikings, and it seems like he’s done that again in Buffalo, so perhaps he’s the problem.
Now, he’ll have one final opportunity to prove that his character is worth dealing with, and he better make the most of it.
