The Buffalo Bills have quite a predicament on their hands.
Until Stefon Diggs is back full-time in their building, their receiver room is lacking a true number one, leaving room for others to get more exposure.
This appears to be the case for Trent Sherfield, who has been given high praise by Josh Allen.
In a recent conversation with ESPN, Allen said that Sherfield is “one of the hardest-working guys on the team.”

Sherfield is a five-year NFL veteran and has spent time with the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, and most recently, the Miami Dolphins.
The Dolphins’ receiving depth chart is top-heavy, with Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle both commanding a large share of targets.
This left little room for Sherfield to have a prominent place on the Dolphins, garnering just 51 targets.
He did make the most of his targets, bringing in 30 receptions for 417 yards and two touchdowns.
Sherfield could find himself in a favorable position with the Bills, especially if Diggs continues to be absent from team activities.
He ran a 4.45 40-yard dash at his Pro Day in 2018, so he does have the speed to evade defenders, which is a positive aspect of his game.
Will Allen be able to feature him in this offense?
The Bills did use significant draft capital to acquire another offensive player, trading up for tight end Dalton Kincaid.
Kincaid could be a first or second option for Allen, but, if he continues to succeed, Sherfield could compete for the third-most targets.
