The AFC East has been a competitive division in the NFL for quite some time, with the New England Patriots being a threat for more than two decades and the Buffalo Bills coming on strong the last few years due to the emergence of Josh Allen as a superstar quarterback in this league.
Ahead of the 2023 NFL season, the division has become arguably the toughest in the league, with the Miami Dolphins coming on strong under Mike McDaniel and the New York Jets getting a massive boost with the addition of Aaron Rodgers and Dalvin Cook.
With all four teams in the division posing a threat in 2023, there’s no telling how things will pan out over the course of the 17-game season, but some believe it may come down to the new-look Jets and Allen’s Bills.
On an appearance on “The Pat McAfee Show,” Allen was asked about the influx of talent in the AFC East, namely the addition of Rodgers to an already talented Jets squad, and he had some interesting things to say.

After jokingly taking a shot at Rodgers, with the Bills superstar saying the Jets newcomer can take golf and he’ll concentrate on football, Allen admitted he’s embracing the challenge of competing within the division for the next few years.
Like many star quarterbacks around his age, Allen grew up idolizing Rodgers while he was the face of the Green Bay Packers franchise and will look forward to going head-to-head twice a year in the AFC East.
It’ll be interesting to see how things unfold in the AFC East and whether the Bills and Jets are the two best teams in the division with high hopes of winning it all.
