The Buffalo Bills entered the NFL season as one of the teams to beat, and they’re led by superstar quarterback Josh Allen.
Allen was the cover athlete for this year’s edition of Madden, and he was again one of the early frontrunners to be named MVP.
Fast forward to today, and they’ve been quite disappointing with a 4-3 record, and some of that has had to do with the quarterback’s erratic play.
With that in mind, the Wyoming product talked about his plan to get his team right on the right course, stating that he’s looking to drive his energy down a notch, as he knows he tends to do a little too much when he’s too hyped, via ProFootballTalk.
“Just trying to stay in this state called ‘low positive,’ where your energy is not super high, and you’re allowing your mind to think and be free and just stay on top of everything, because obviously as the quarterback, there is a lot of things going through our mind,” Allen said, (via Katherine Fitzgerald of the Buffalo News.) “So, if I can limit myself and my energy and my heart rate, I feel like I can maybe think a little bit more — but who knows, maybe I need to think a little bit less and just play football.”

Allen has been prone to turning the ball over by forcing throws and trying to do too much on every snap.
That was evident in last week’s loss to Mac Jones and the New England Patriots, and it has been a worrisome trend that has followed him throughout the course of his career.
No one can deny Allen’s talents as a player, and he can go toe-to-toe with the best of them when he’s locked in.
However, the Bills have a tendency to play down to their rivals’ level, and that’s not going to get the job done in the National Football League.
Up next, Sean McDermott’s team is set to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Thursday Night Football, and a loss to another team they were supposed to beat could make things even tougher for Allen and the Bills.
