The Buffalo Bills have almost an entirely new wide receiver room this season after Gabe Davis signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars in free agency and Stefon Diggs was traded to the Houston Texans, so training camp reps are important for Josh Allen to get on the same page with his new pass catchers.

One receiver is standing out early in camp and drawing rave reviews from Allen as the two continue to develop chemistry early on.

Bills insider Alex Brasky spoke with the quarterback about rookie wide receiver Keon Coleman.

“The catch radius that he has, he is going to find a way to go up and get it,” Allen said of the second-round draft pick. “… You feel like you can’t miss when you’re throwing to him.”

Coleman and Curtis Samuel have big shoes to fill in replacing Davis and Diggs, but it’s possible fans and media members have been too quick to criticize the newcomers.

While with the Bills, Davis failed to develop into more than a deep threat and Diggs showed clear signs of regression last season, so it’s not outlandish to think Coleman and Samuel can be as good, if not better, than those two were for Allen last season.

Coleman is 6-foot-4 and 215 pounds and was drafted with the first pick of the second round out of Florida State following an 11-touchdown campaign with the Seminoles last season.

He will be tasked with becoming a big part of the Bills offense early on, and so far, it appears he is up to the challenge and quickly becoming a favorite target for his new QB.
