The New York Knicks were trending on social media on Wednesday night, and it wasn’t because of their blowout win over the Chicago Bulls.
While they defeated the Bulls, fans talked about Josh Hart’s less-than-ideal pass attempt to one of his teammates.
Hart was running down the floor and, in an attempt to make a fast-break pass to Donte DiVincenzo, threw the ball 20 rows up into the stands.

While Hart has been a great player for the Knicks throughout the year, this clip demonstrated that even the best NBA players can make monumental mistakes.
He and his teammates laughed in this video, while his coach, Tom Thibodeau, was less than thrilled.
Fans enjoyed this on Twitter, giving Hart a friendly ribbing for this error.

One fan with a fake Brian Windhorst account even posted that Hart had been traded to the New York Jets.
While fans were having fun coming up with ways to ridicule him, Hart also made sure to poke fun at himself.

Hart tweeted a poorly edited picture of him on a football field, indicating that the Washington Commanders should sign him to a quarterback contract.
He was immediately sorry and confused for his pass on the court, but instead of dwelling on it, he decided to join the postgame banter.
For his sake, it is good that the Knicks won this game and that his poor pass didn’t cost his team the victory.
