After coming off an exciting playoff year, the Jacksonville Jaguars turned in one of the most disappointing NFL seasons in 2023.

Head coach Doug Pederson’s group raced out to an 8-3 start with a clear path to another postseason, but the march crumbled with five losses in the final six games.

Sadly for the fan base, the team was left to tune in to the playoffs just like their followers.

But that was then, according to star linebacker Josh Hines-Allen, and the two-time Pro Bowl defender assured the faithful that better days are ahead.

Hines-Allen had a pointed message for Jaguars Nation when he appeared on the Rich Eisen Show.

He declared, “Our expectations are to win, to win now, to win late, to win in January.”

Looking into the camera, Hines-Allen asserted that the pieces are in place for the Jaguars to make the playoffs and “get it done.”

He told viewers that he is holding himself accountable along with the rest of his team, and the Jacksonville area needs to come out in September and support their club.

Instead of attempting to erase the memory of last season’s collapse, Hines-Allen said it adds more fuel to the fire as the Jags prepare for 2024.

The fast start disintegrated last year, but that should only provide more motivation to ensure that this clearly talented squad is prepared for the grueling 17-game schedule.

After inking franchise quarterback Trevor Lawrence to a new $275 million extension, the commitment to win now is obviously in place in Jacksonville.
