The Green Bay Packers have made a lot of changes to their roster throughout the offseason in hopes of finding more success in 2024.

They made it farther than many fans and analysts thought they would coming into the year, and building on the success they found last year.

Despite a run to the second round of the playoffs, the Packers had to make some tough roster decisions, which included letting Aaron Jones walk, who eventually joined the Minnesota Vikings.

Jones was a staple of the team, but after the team signed Josh Jacobs, there was simply no room for both players on the roster.

Thankfully for the Packers, Jacobs is younger than Jones, and in recent years, has been one of the best backs in the NFL.

He led the league in rushing in 2022 and hopes to be a key contributor to what the Packers are building.

Jacobs would also like to break an unfortunate streak this year, which was called out by B/R Gridiron on Twitter.

According to B/R Gridiron, “Josh Jacobs is five receptions away from owning the record for most career catches without a TD.”

This might come as a shock to some NFL fans considering the level of success Jacobs has found over the past several years.

He has been used as more of a rushing threat than a receiving option, but with nearly 200 catches under his belt, one would assume that he has fallen into the end zone at least once.

Jordan Love did utilize Jones as a pass-catching back, so if Jacobs is used in a similar role, there’s a chance he could get this monkey off his back.
