With one week of the NFL season already in the books, it’s officially time to overreact.
Some teams were fairly disappointing, but others were quite impressive.
However, even though she claimed the Miami Dolphins were the most surprising team of the first week of the season, Joy Taylor also said that maybe it wasn’t that much of a surprise (via Speak on FS1).

Truth be told, the Miami Dolphins were by far the best offensive team in the league in Week 1.
That wasn’t much of a surprise, granted that they had already thrived on that side of the field with HC Mike McDaniel leading the way, but they were even better than expected.
Tua Tagovailoa has leapfrogged in MVP odds, sitting at No. 2 behind Patrick Mahomes.
The Alabama product destroyed the Los Angeles Chargers defense with 466 yards and three touchdowns, all while Tyreek Hill hauled in 11 of 15 targets for 215 yards and a couple of scores.
Of course, there are still some major things to fix.
Not many teams are able to win Super Bowls while allowing 34 points and 234 rushing yards, and that’s going to be a major point of emphasis.
Jalen Ramsey’s eventual comeback can help them improve against the pass, but they need to be better against the run if they want to stand a chance.
As for everything else, don’t be shocked if the Dolphins lead the league in scoring this season, as Tua is getting better by the game and they have the most explosive wide receiver tandem in football.
