The Philadelphia Eagles came into Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season as one of only two teams in the league with an undefeated record, with the defending NFC champions sporting a record of 5-0.

Even though the consensus was that the Eagles would likely cruise to victory against the New York Jets on Sunday, that was far from the case, as Robert Saleh’s team came to play, especially on the defensive side of the football.

The Jets were playing without two of their best cornerbacks in this game, with Sauce Garnder and D.J. Reed unable to suit up against the Eagles, but it didn’t matter.

New York stepped up their game defensively against one of the best teams in the league and was able to make things incredibly tough for superstar quarterback Jalen Hurts, who threw three interceptions on Sunday.

Joy Taylor of FOX Sports chimed in on Hurts’ awful performance against the Jets, who doesn’t believe this is a bad sign for the team moving forward via Speak On FS1.

“We now know what his floor is. The ceiling for Jalen Hurts is All-Pro, playing in a Super Bowl, runner-up to league MVP, so I’ll take this floor.” pic.twitter.com/yKzuFABQ9M

Even though Taylor is giving Hurts the benefit of the doubt for having arguably his worst game in the NFL thus far, it has to be concerning for Philadelphia that their superstar is struggling, as he’s already thrown one more interception than he did all of last year.

Obviously, the Eagles are still in a great position, with this being the team’s only loss this season, but they haven’t looked like the dominant force they were last season, and things won’t get any easier next week when they host the Miami Dolphins.
