After two disappointing seasons with the Denver Broncos, superstar quarterback Russell Wilson will be released by the team and able to enter NFL free agency, hoping to resurrect his NFL career somewhere else.
Fortunately for Wilson, even though he did not play well for the Broncos over the last two years, the one-time Super Bowl champion will likely get another opportunity to be a starter in the NFL, with a few teams expected to show interest in his services.
As of right now, all the momentum seems to be leaning toward Wilson ending up with the Pittsburgh Steelers, with the storied NFL franchise desperately seeking some improved play at the quarterback position, as the team has been unable to replace Ben Roethlisberger sufficiently.
Another team that will potentially be an option for Wilson is the New England Patriots, who will head into a new era and will look to upgrade the quarterback position, with Mac Jones and Bailey Zappe not being the answer moving forward.
Although New England could be an option for Wilson, Joy Taylor of FOX Sports believes it would be a bad move for the veteran quarterback via Speak On FS1.
“The Patriots are in a complete and utter rebuild,” Taylor said. “They have no culture, they have no identity… There’s no way I’m even considering the Patriots if I’m Russ.”

Taylor has a point with the Patriots beginning a regime change and a rebuilding process that could take years, if not much longer than that, as there’s no telling when New England will be able to turn things around.
Wilson just came from an organization that was a mess, and there’s no point in continuing on that path unless he has no other options.
