For years, the Boston Celtics have had two of the best young players in the game.

Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum have established themselves as a legitimate one-two punch, and despite their youth, they have plenty of postseason experience already.

Nonetheless, all teams need more than two stars to win at the highest level, and the Celtics aren’t the exception to that rule.

With that in mind, GM Brad Stevens made sure to get them an elite supporting cast full of glue guys and players who could do a little bit of everything.

Notably, that includes Jrue Holiday, one of the best defenders in the game, and one of the most underrated players of the past decade or so.

Holiday dropped 26 points in Game 2 and made some key defensive plays as well to help the team jump to a 2-0 lead in the NBA Finals, proving to be the Jack of all trades again.

When asked about that, the former NBA champion claimed that he was a utility guy and that he would do whatever it took to get a win (via NBA).

“I’m a utility guy, I’ll do whatever.”

Holiday is a positive presence in the locker room.

He plays within his role despite clearly being able to put up more numbers, but he won’t hesitate to take a step forward if needed.

He’s playing elite backcourt defense on Kyrie Irving and then setting his teammates up on the other end of the floor, and while he might not be the best player on the team, he might be the most impactful.
