Juan Soto Is Posting Legendary Numbers This Spring

The New York Yankees have to be thrilled with how Juan Soto is performing in spring training.

While these stats mean nothing, it is always good to see a player looking comfortable at the plate this time of year.

That is exactly how Soto looks so far.

He is as locked in as a player could be in spring training.

Soto seems to have found a home in New York.

As noted by Jon Heyman, Soto was recently rocking a slash line of .700/.750/1.800/2.550.

Those numbers are completely unsustainable, but it goes to show how well Soto is hitting.

When the Yankees acquired him this offseason, they were hoping he could help get them back to the World Series.

Soto has always been seen as one of the best hitters in baseball.

At the age of 20, Soto was a significant contributor to the World Series-winning Washington Nationals.

He is the perfect blend of power and plate discipline.

He has led MLB in walks each of the past three seasons.

Now with Aaron Judge expected to bat behind him, teams will be wary to walk Soto.

Also, being able to hit at Yankee Stadium should set Soto up for a career year.

He has the potential to hit 40 home runs for the first time in his career.

Soto seems to have no hole in his game at the plate.

Still, the Yankees will have their work cut out for them as they try to navigate the AL East.

But, Soto was brought in to help the Yankees get back to the World Series.

That is their only goal as we enter the 2024 season.
