One of the more significant trades of the NFL offseason came when the Chicago Bears traded former starter and first-round draft pick Justin Fields to the Pittsburgh Steelers.
As things currently stand, Fields is set to back-up veteran Russell Wilson in 2024.
While recently speaking with the Pittsburgh media, Fields talked about how detail-oriented his new quarterback coach Tom Arth is.
“He comes in as the same guy each and every day…I don’t think I’ve had a coach as detailed as Tom…That’s the thing that sets him apart,” Fields said of Arth, per Chris Adamski.

Arth has been in a lot of places throughout his football career.
He went undrafted out of John Carroll before playing three years with the Indianapolis Colts as a quarterback.
Additionally, he played in NFL Europe with the Scottish Claymores and Hamburg Sea Devils.
He later joined the Green Bay Packers on the practice squad in 2006.
He also had stints in the CFL and the AFL.
In 2010, Arth became a college coach at his alma mater.
He was an offensive coordinator at John Carroll before becoming the head coach in 2016.
The former quarterback was also a head coach at Chattanooga and Akron before moving to the NFL.
Before coming over to the Steelers, he was a pass game specialist for the Chargers.
Seeing as he has been around the block at multiple levels and in multiple leagues, he has witnessed a lot.
Fields’ growth this season should be an interesting story to follow along with, especially with Arth coaching him up.
Sitting behind Wilson will help him out too after a tough few years with the Bears where it looked like he was lost at times.
