The Minnesota Vikings found a true gem in Justin Jefferson.

Although he has only played in the NFL for three seasons, his levels of success as a receiver are on a record-setting pace.

In his three years, Jefferson has been named the Offensive Player of the Year, and has received a first-team All-Pro nod.

Recently, he’s been given another accolade, adding to his already-impressive list.

According to ESPN, Jefferson has been named the league’s top receiver, voted on by players, scouts, coaches, and executives.

Davante Adams, Ja’Marr Chase, Tyreek Hill, and Cooper Kupp rounded out the top five.

As Jeremy Fowler illustrated in his article about the position, of the 80 individuals that voted, Jefferson’s lowest rating was the seventh-best receiver.

He was ranked fourth on this list before the 2022 season, but due to his continued success, he’s now seen as the best in the league.

Will Jefferson live up to these expectations, putting together yet another career year?

He’s outdone himself each season, putting up 1,400 yards in his first year, 1,616 in his second, and 1,809 in his third.

If this trajectory continues, he’s on pace to have the first 2,000-yard season in NFL history, passing Calvin Johnson’s record of 1,964.

That record has stood since 2012, which Johnson was able to achieve in just 16 games.

Jefferson has remained confident in his abilities, and the Vikings have continued to put their trust in him, peppering him with targets.

However, they did use first-round draft capital on Jordan Addison.

Will he cut into Jefferson’s target share, potentially limiting his ceiling?
