The Minnesota Vikings have experienced a roller coaster of emotions to start the 2023 season.
After a strong season in 2022, the Vikings started the year with a 1-4 record.
They lost Justin Jefferson to the IR during their loss to the Kansas City Chiefs, and most recently lost Kirk Cousins for the entire season.
Cousins was helping the Vikings back into playoff contention, rattling off three straight wins to bring them to .500.
He is a beloved person on this team, which was put on full display with Jefferson’s shirt at the Vikings’ most recent game.
In a photo shared by Bleacher Report, Jefferson was seen wearing a shirt with Cousins’ face plastered all over it.
“You already know we had to support Kirko Chains.”

Cousins is greatly missed by his teammates, who will now try to navigate the season without him.
Jefferson is still waiting to return to play, hoping to get back on the field soon.
However, without Cousins throwing to him when he returns, Jefferson’s opportunity for big games could be diminished for the rest of the season.
He and Cousins developed a special on-field rapport, one that will be difficult to replicate.
Josh Dobbs did look like a competent quarterback in this offense during the Vikings’ win over the Atlanta Falcons, which could be a positive for Jefferson when he returns.
Jaren Hall started the game, but when he got injured and was unable to return, it was the Dobbs show for the rest of the game.
His number one target, T.J. Hockenson, finished the game with seven catches for 69 yards.
If Dobbs continues to grow in this offense, there’s no telling what his connection with Jefferson might yield.
