The Los Angeles Clippers are transitioning into a new era.
They’re about to leave Crypto.Com Arena and finally have a place of their own, one in which they won’t have to cover all the Los Angeles Lakers’ banners when they’re playing home games.
Nonetheless, contrary to what most people would’ve thought and expected, they won’t have one of their best players with them when they head to Intuit Dome.
Paul George left the team to join the Philadelphia 76ers, thus hampering their chances to finally make it to the NBA Finals.
Needless to say, that’s a significant blow to the team, and one would expect to hear something from his fellow star, Kawhi Leonard.
However, truth to form, the two-time NBA champion gave the media absolutely nothing.
According to a report by Gina Mizell of the Philadelphia Enquirer, Leonard claimed that he wasn’t at Team USA practice to talk about George’s departure, and he was just there to talk about USA Basketball.
Kawhi Leonard when asked about Paul George’s departure from the Clippers during a smaller media session at Team USA camp: “I’m not talking about that. I’m here to talk about USA Basketball.”

Of course, this makes sense on the surface, but it’s not like he had to go off for hours, get emotional, or even share his honest thoughts on the matter.
Like all other NBA stars who go through extensive hours of media training, he could’ve given a generic answer to get it over with and just moved on to the next subject.
Perhaps things didn’t end well there or perhaps he just doesn’t want to waste his time talking about something that cannot be changed or fixed at this point.
