The Los Angeles Clippers fans have patiently waited to win an NBA Championship since being added to the league back in 1978.
Despite being in the league for 45 years, the Clippers haven’t even once advanced to the NBA Finals.
Over the last few years, with the core of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George, the Clippers theoretically have a shot at making it to the NBA Finals, but the organization needs quality role players to truly succeed.
Kawhi Leonard recently heaped huge praise on Bones Hyland ahead of the new season via Joey Linn on Twitter.
“I try to take the challenge of guarding him at practice, just knowing how crafty and fast he is,” Leonard said.
Kawhi Leonard on Bones Hyland:
“He’s very good… I try to take the challenge of guarding him at practice, just knowing how crafty and fast he is. Just remembering how hungry I was at that age, just trying to go at it every day.” pic.twitter.com/s9zByaVjSn

Leonard had nothing but praise for the 23-year-old Clippers guard.
He even compared Hyland’s hunger to play the game of basketball to his own when he was 23 years old.
Well, Hyland isn’t even close to what Leonard was at the same age.
After all, Leonard had already shined in the 2014 NBA Finals against LeBron James and the Miami Heat.
In fact, Leonard was named the 2014 NBA Finals MVP following his stellar job of guarding James during the series.
As for Hyland, he averaged 10.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 3.4 assists per game for the Clippers.
He played in 14 games for the team but didn’t get a chance to play in the starting five.
If Hyland has improved as much as Leonard believes, he may get the nod to be in the team’s lineup at some point during the regular season.
On top of it, with three veteran stars in Kawhi Leonard, Paul George, and Russell Westbrook on the roster, Hyland will either way learn a lot.
