The Arizona Cardinals have shocked the NFL world over the past few days, making several trades.
One of those trades saw Isaiah Simmons move on to the New York Giants, instantly adding a talented piece to their defense.
In a recent segment of Kay Adams’ show, “Up and Adams,” she applauded this trade for the Giants, saying, “This is the guy who was compared athletically to LeBron James.”

Adams believes if Simmons plays to his potential, he presents a lot of upside to this ever-improving defense.
Being compared to James is a noteworthy accomplishment, especially given he’s been said to be one of the best athletes in NBA history.
Simmons was the No. 8 overall pick in the 2020 draft, a very high-regarded prospect from Clemson.
His athleticism was on full display during his time in college, which translated nicely into the NFL.
It’s unclear if this trade was performance-driven, or if the Cardinals are clearing house as many pundits have projected.
Regardless of the Cardinals’ motives, Simmons is now on the Giants roster.
He finished the 2022 season with 99 tackles, four sacks, and two interceptions.
His sack and interception totals were both career highs, and was regarded as one of the best players on a struggling defense.
If he’s able to carry that momentum into the Giants organization, they could be a force to be reckoned with on the defensive side of the ball.
After making the playoffs last year, the Giants now look to compete in the NFC East, a tall task given the state of their competition.
