Whenever a superstar player in any professional sport walks away from the game, it can be incredibly tough to adjust to life without the game they are passionate about.
Most of the time, these superstars realize they cannot play professionally anymore, either due to declining skills or injuries that keep piling up, forcing them to think about their long-term health or the fact they can’t stay available for their team.
One player who recently called it a career is superstar defensive end J.J. Watt, who made a name for himself as the face of the Houston Texans franchise before ending his time in the NFL with the Arizona Cardinals.
Although it was an incredibly tough decision for Watt, the three-time Defensive Player of the Year struggled to stay healthy in the last few years of his playing career.
However, he ended on a strong note, playing in 16 games in the 2022 season and racking up 12.5 sacks, which was impressive, but he felt it was time to retire, which may be a decision that haunts him.
Now, with rumors of Watt considering a comeback with the Texans, Kay Adams is predicting that he isn’t done playing quite yet.
“I’m confident in saying J.J. Watt will come out of retirement and play for the Texans,” the host said on “Up & Adams.”

Adams isn’t the only one who believes Watt will try to resurrect his career in the league.
Former Pittsburgh Steelers head coach and current CBS studio analyst Bill Cowher expressed the same sentiment recently, claiming the 35-year-old, also a CBS analyst, is in great shape and could try to pick up where he left off.
With the Texans arguably a Super Bowl contender in the AFC this season, Watt would not only provide some value to the team, but it would also give him a chance to win that elusive Vince Lombardi Trophy with the franchise that drafted him.
