Kendrick Perkins Believes Some NBA Superstars Could Team Up After This Season

NBA fans were delighted to see Steph Curry, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant on the same team for the first time as they took on the rest of the world at the Paris Olympics.

Was that the last time these three superstars will perform together?

According to Kendrick Perkins, maybe not.

A video shared by ClutchPoints on X featured Perkins predicting they could suit up together if things don’t go well with their respective teams in the new season.

“If things don’t go as planned [with the Lakers, Warriors, Suns this upcoming season]… I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a reunion with Steph Curry and [Kevin Durant] or LeBron James and Steph actually making it happen,” Perkins said.

That is quite the prediction and one that will be really hard to turn into a reality.

The chances of any combination of these three playing together are slim, especially since they have all said they plan to stay with their squads.

But Perkins is right to think things could be rough for the Warriors, Suns, and Lakers in the upcoming season.

Each franchise just had a tough season, with the Suns getting swept in the first round of the playoffs, the Lakers faring only a little better, and the Warriors not even reaching the postseason.

Which team is most likely to turn things around in 2024-25?

If none of them can bounce back, there will be more rumors about the futures of Curry, Durant, and James.

However, they probably won’t be leaving their teams to join forces with one another.

In all likelihood, the best chance fans have of seeing these three together again will be in next year’s All-Star Game.
