Right now, the NBA is abuzz with speculation about what’s next for James Harden and Damian Lillard.

If both of these players get their way, they will be playing for the Los Angeles Clippers and Miami Heat, respectively.

Their demands to be traded to one particular team have a lot of people talking.

Kendrick Perkins isn’t too fond of players requesting a trade to specific teams and thinks they should be more open-minded if they are really intent on winning.

“If it’s about winning and competing for a championship, then there’s no way that your list is just narrowed down to one team,” Perkins said on “First Take.”

According to the people inside Lillard’s camp, he wants to go to the Heat because he really does believe he has the best chance of winning it all in Miami.

But Perkins noted that there are several teams throughout the league who may be true championship contenders over the next few years.

So why does Lillard only have his sights set on the Heat?

As for Harden, this isn’t the first time he has demanded a trade so the move isn’t as surprising.

But it still leaves a bad taste in the mouths of many.

Neither Harden nor Lillard have gotten their wishes yet, although many analysts agree that it’s just a matter of time until they do.

Both the Trail Blazers and 76ers will not rush into anything because they want the best for their teams moving forward.

The demands from these two players have put them in a very tough, tricky spot.
