The Los Angeles Clippers are reportedly James Harden’s preferred trade destination.

However, as flattered as they might feel because of that, reports state that they haven’t been that eager or aggressive about getting a deal done.

The Clippers have reportedly refused to give up valuable trade and rotation pieces to acquire the former MVP, which only speaks volumes of his current value in the league.

Notably, former teammate Kendrick Perkins could be able to explain why.

When asked whether Harden would be a natural fit on the Clippers and how he would be able to coexist with Russell Westbrook again, Perkins ruthlessly questioned whether they even needed him.

The former Oklahoma City Thunder big man claimed that he doesn’t even understand why he’s looking to leave the Philadelphia 76ers, as he’s got the ball in his hands right now, not to mention the fact that he’s sharing the floor with the reigning MVP, Joel Embiid.

Perkins believes that’s living proof of the fact that you cannot trust Harden to win.

Per Perkins, if he were serious about winning, he’d look to stay in Philadelphia and run it back with Embiid, this time with Nick Nurse as his coach.

Harden has drawn plenty of criticism for the way he’s handled his career over the past three years or so.

He’s been unhappy everywhere despite sharing the court with a plethora of superstars, so it’s hard to believe a move to a new team is going to make anything different for him.
