The Boston Celtics have a legitimate opportunity to go 16-2 in the NBA playoffs.
That’s why, as much as some people think Kendrick Perkins was overreacting, he might be right on point.
Following the Celtics’ win in Game 3, the former NBA champion took to Twitter and claimed that this has been one of the greatest championship runs of all time.

The Celtics secured a winning season before the All-Star break, and they ran away with the best record in the league from start to finish.
Now, they’re riding a ten-game winning streak in the playoffs, including a sweep in the Eastern Conference Finals.
Granted, perhaps their opposition in the first three rounds was far from impressive, and the fact that they had to go against injury-depleted teams may have put an asterisk next to it in the eyes of the fans.
But the Dallas Mavericks were a wrecking ball in the playoffs, and they’re down 0-3 despite both of their star players being on the court.
At the end of the day, one can only play whoever is on the other end of the floor, and the Celtics have methodically beaten every single one of them.
They might not be the most memorable team we’ve seen, but the numbers put them near the top.
