The Philadelphia 76ers have been in the news a bunch this offseason, for all of the wrong reasons.

After another disappointing playoff exit, the Sixers decided to fire head coach Doc Rivers.

But, that was just the first of many moves for this team.

The most significant still has not seen a resolution.

That is what to do with disgruntled point guard James Harden.

He has demanded a trade out of Philadelphia and has no intentions of playing for them ever again.

Due to this reason and many others, Kendrick Perkins believes the 76ers should change the entire roster.

As seen on ESPN, via ClutchPoints, Perkins said, “I would blow the whole thing up right now and I would start with building around Tyrese Maxey.”

“This season for the Philadelphia 76ers is already a failure. If I was Philly, I would blow the whole thing up right now and I would start with building around Tyrese Maxey because Joel Embiid has to be tired.”

Perkins thinks trading Joel Embiid this offseason is the only move they can make.

With how the organization is trending, it seems likely that Embiid will ask out at some point.

So to avoid having another public issue, the Sixers could trade Embiid before he demands out.

Also, the package they could receive in return for Embiid would be massive.

They could land a few good young players and many draft picks.

Maybe the rebuild would not take long if they can get the right pieces in return for Embiid.

It is a shame to see what has happened to the Sixers over the past few years.

Embiid has been one of the best players in the NBA and they still cannot find a way to make the Eastern Conference Finals.

Most 76ers fans would hate to see Embiid go, but it could be what’s best for the long-term outlook of the franchise.
