The Washington Wizards are finally considering moving on from Bradley Beal.

And while his no-trade clause and steep salary could make it quite tough to get a deal done, there should be no shortage of teams interested in acquiring his services.

With that in mind, former NBA champion Kendrick Perkins says he would love to see him taking his talents to the Boston Celtics.

Perkins explained that Beal and Jayson Tatum have a close relationship dating back to their childhood, being born in the same area and being good friends long before they entered the league.

The big man added that even though there are no indications that Tatum wants to leave the Celtics, he’d be happier with Beal than he is with Jaylen Brown, who could be used alongside Malcolm Brogdon as a trade chip to get Beal.

Perkins says that the Celtics should look to keep Marcus Smart around and praised Brad Stevens for improving Joe Mazzulla’s coaching staff during the offseason, adding that a one-two punch of Beal and Tatum would be way more dangerous than one of Tatum and Brown.

Of course, this would be a bit of a risky gamble, to say the least.

Brown is way younger than Beal, and while he’s also eligible to sign a massive contract extension, Beal will make north of $50 million by the time he turns 33.

But the Celtics have knocked on the door too many times already in recent times, so maybe it’s time they take some chances.
