The Dallas Mavericks earned a huge win on Friday night, beating the Sacramento Kings 107-103 for the second time this week.

Following the game, Kendrick Perkins gave a big shout-out to the team’s leading duo, Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving.

“I’m almost convinced that Kyrie and Luka just might be the most dangerous duo in the League. Huge W for the Mavs tonight against the Kings!” Perkins said on Twitter.

It is always good to beat one of the most competitive teams in the Western Conference, but the win on Friday was important for another reason.

Their victory over Sacramento brought Dallas’ record to 44-29 and gave them an even stronger hold on the sixth seed in their conference.

If they can remain in that spot, they will avoid the Play-In Tournament altogether and earn immediate entry to the playoffs in April.

During Friday’s game, Doncic scored 26 points, 9 rebounds, and 12 assists, while Irving scored 30 points too.

These two players have been working very well together all year long but they are really finding their rhythm right now as the regular season wraps up.

If they wish to have a strong run in the playoffs, both Doncic and Irving will have to keep playing at a high level.

The Mavericks have won 10 of their last 11 games and are feeling great before the postseason.

But their biggest challenge will come on Sunday night.

That’s because they are facing their Texas rivals, the Houston Rockets.

That team has been surging lately, winning 11 games in a row.

If Doncic and Irving can push past that team, it’ll be a huge testament to how well they are playing together.
