The NBA offseason is officially underway, with the Denver Nuggets winning their first title in franchise history and the rest of the league trying to figure out how to dethrone Nikola Jokic and company next season with moves made over the summer.
One of the teams looking to find upgrades during the offseason will be the Los Angeles Lakers, as the team will want to have at least one more run with LeBron James leading the way with only two years left on his deal.
With the Lakers looking for ways to improve their roster, the rumors have already started swirling about what moves the stored franchise could make this summer to take one step closer to competing with the Nuggets in the Western Conference.
On Wednesday, ESPN’s Kendrick Perkins made a wild prediction about what Los Angeles may do, as he thinks superstar guard James Harden will join forces with James and Anthony Davis in the City of Angels.

Although Harden is from Los Angeles, the superstar guard has never really been linked to the Lakers or the Los Angeles Clippers, for that matter.
It doesn’t seem likely that the Lakers would go after Harden this summer unless he took a considerable discount, with the team not having a lot of cap space to deal with unless they figure out how to move off some contracts without bringing much back.
All signs seem to point to Harden either re-signing with the Philadelphia 76ers to give it another shot playing alongside reigning NBA MVP Joel Embiid or heading back to the Houston Rockets for a second stint.
Harden heading to the Lakers seems like a long shot at best.
