The NBA playoffs are moving ahead in full force.
The Boston Celtics have already punched their ticket to the conference finals, leaving three spots up for grabs.
The Knicks are a historic organization, but in recent years, they haven’t been able to achieve this level of success.
This year’s team has a different energy about them, which is boosted by their ever-impressive fanbase.
Kendrick Perkins spoke about this in a conversation shared by New York Basketball on Twitter.
“What I witnessed last night… Those fans are different,” Perkins said.
“What I witnessed last night…those fans are different…Look…I’m new to this [Knicks] family…but…it was one of the best playoffs atmospheres I’ve ever been around. Ever. Ever.”

Perkins has appeared in the NBA Finals on four separate occasions, but he called the Knicks game “one of the best playoff atmospheres I’ve ever been around. Ever.”
This is impressive praise coming from Perkins given his experience, and this bodes well for the Knicks moving forward.
If they do advance, they’ll have to take on the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals, a matchup that should be exciting to watch for NBA fans.
The Knicks have some great young players and are led by Jalen Brunson, while the Celtics have a two-headed monster in Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum.
It will be interesting to see how these two teams matchup, and seeing how they both play at historic arenas, fans will have a true opportunity to impact the game in a myriad of ways.
