After an undeniably disappointing season and a shockingly short run in the playoffs, the Phoenix Suns have some decisions to make.
So does their lead star Kevin Durant, who has to figure out if he wants to remain in Phoenix or demand a trade.
On Monday’s “First Take,” Kendrick Perkins made a bold claim: he said that the Miami Heat would be a great team for Durant if he chose to leave the Suns behind.

While Stephen A. Smith unsurprisingly said that Durant would be a better fit with the New York Knicks, Perkins stood by his claim and said that the two-time champion would be a great addition to the Heat.
He said Miami is one of the few teams that has the assets to initiate a trade that is good for both sides.
He also added that Miami has been a team getting close to winning the Finals for several years now but they need an extra push to get them over the hump and earn a title.
Perkins thinks that Durant would provide that extra push and would work well in the plans that Pat Riley and Erik Spoelstra have.
Speaking of Riley, Shannon Sharpe said he isn’t sure how Durant would work alongside the Heat president.
Sharpe reminded viewers that Riley runs a tight ship and Durant might not be too happy being a part of it.
If Durant did decide that his time with the Suns had come to an end, a number of teams would leap at the chance to sign him.
