There were questions about Kevin Durant before Team USA’s game against Serbia on Sunday.
And after only a few minutes, Durant had answered all of those questions.
Durant had an incredible game and led Team USA to a 110-84 win over Team Serbia.
On Monday’s “First Take,” Kendrick Perkins claimed that Durant is key to a gold medal for the Americans and said no one should be surprised.
“We saw it the last time Team USA won the gold medal. We’re gonna see it this time when Team USA wins the gold medal. It’s gonna be on the back of Kevin Durant,” Perkins said.

Durant got off to a perfect start during Saturday’s game, making his first eight shots on the way to a 23-point performance off the bench.
Durant sank all five of his three-point attempts while LeBron James scored 21 points, 9 assists, and 8 rebounds.
This came just hours after there was still speculation about Durant’s status.
His calf injury had been bothering him for weeks and he missed out on all exhibition games for Team USA.
The team was able to win without him but they clearly missed Durant and wanted him back whenever possible.
Sunday’s game is an example of why they were eager for the Phoenix Suns star.
This is Durant’s fourth time at the Olympics and it might lead to his fourth gold medal.
He has been called the best Team USA player of all time and reminded everyone why that is during the game against Serbia.
Perkins believes that if Team USA is going to win it all, they need Durant to keep playing like this.
