The Milwaukee Bucks have been simultaneously one of the best and most inconsistent teams during the 2023-24 NBA season.
The Bucks made a splash before the regular season began when they swung a blockbuster trade for Damian Lillard.
While it cost the team Jrue Holiday, Lillard is an offensive force who is an elite partner for Giannis Antetokounmpo.
Despite starting out 30-13, Milwaukee made a drastic change when they fired former head coach Adrian Griffin and brought in Doc Rivers to replace him.
Rivers hasn’t done as well as fans would’ve hoped as he tries to install his system and playbook midseason.
Although the Bucks have a strong 43-24 record, there are numerous skeptics around the league when it comes to their championship hopes.
Former player Kendrick Perkins believes that Milwaukee has to make the NBA Finals or else this year will be considered a flop, via ClutchPoints on Twitter.
“If [the Bucks] don’t reach the Finals, it’s a failed season for them… You have two top-75 greatest players playing on the same team. There’s no way in hell your expectations shouldn’t be reaching the NBA Finals,” Perkins said.

Milwaukee signaled they were all-in on another title when they traded for Lillard and Perkins isn’t out of line for saying that a championship needs to be their goal.
Making the Finals is a major accomplishment for teams, but the Bucks have bigger goals and winning another title with Antetokounmpo is the biggest priority.
Unfortunately for the Bucks, getting out of the Eastern Conference is as difficult as ever and they haven’t proven they’re up to the challenge.
