Free agency has largely come and gone, as the NBA moves quickly and leaves teams behind if they don’t get into the mix right out of the gate.
It’s a brutal game, and Kendrick Perkins believes one team has gotten lost in the shuffle and disappointed him with what they’ve done so far.
Perkins said on SportsCenter today that he is disappointed with the Milwaukee Bucks, who haven’t done much of anything in free agency so far, saying “New York made moves, Philadelphia made power moves, and the Bucks are sitting still.”

Perkins noted that Brook Lopez “can’t guard a parked car” and Middleton can’t stay healthy, stressing that the Bucks need to get creative in the trade market and suggested Bruce Brown of the Toronto Raptors, saying “They need that wing position, the athleticism, alongside Damian Lillard and Giannis Antetokounmpo.”
Perk noted it’s tough to criticize Milwaukee since he won a championship with head coach Doc Rivers, but he is disappointed the team hasn’t done anything.
This team doesn’t have a lot of options, as the Bucks already have $182.8 million on the payroll for next season.
Milwaukee doesn’t have any picks to trade until 2031, so there just isn’t much this team can do at the moment.
Bruce Brown has $23 million remaining in the one year left on his contract, and unless the Raptors would be excited about a trade package built around A.J. Green and a 2031 first-round pick, the Bucks aren’t getting him either.
The clock is ticking on this championship window.
