The Golden State Warriors haven’t had the best season thus far, with the team struggling to figure things out with a new-look roster and some aging stars leading the way, like Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Chris Paul.
On Tuesday night, the Warriors fell short to a formidable opponent once again, with Golden State losing to the Phoenix Suns, who were without superstar forward Kevin Durant.
Even though the game was decided by three points, Golden State was the team that came out looking bad, as they can’t seem to get back on track this season, nor can they get Green to control his emotions while on the basketball court.
With the Warriors sitting at 10-13 and no longer resembling a team that can compete for a title in the Western Conference, Kendrick Perkins believes that the time has come for Golden State to let superstar Stephen Curry be free, as he’s still got a lot of good basketball left in him, via NBA on ESPN.

With only 23 games played in an 82-game NBA regular season, this take by Perkins is likely a little premature, even though there’s definitely some legitimate cause for concern for this Warriors team moving forward.
The real question, with about two months left in the NBA trade window, is whether this team is willing to shake things up with a blockbuster trade, as this team, as currently constructed, doesn’t seem close to competing with the best of the best in the West.
As for letting Curry leave San Francisco, it seems highly unlikely that he’d want to leave or that the team would move their best player at this point in time.
