The Golden State Warriors appear to be headed in a downward spiral during the 2023-24 NBA regular season, with the storied franchise seemingly unable to figure out how to put it all together this year, even though superstar guard Stephen Curry is still playing at an MVP level.
On Tuesday night against the division-rival Phoenix Suns, things got a bit worse for Golden State, with the team falling to Devin Booker and company by three points and veteran forward Draymond Green getting ejected again for his over-the-top physical play that seems to hurt people more than help the team.
Green got into a physical altercation with Suns center Jusuf Nurkic, as the four-time NBA champion swung his arms all over the place in the post until he made contact with the center’s face, resulting in him going straight to the ground in pain.
This has become a common occurrence on the basketball floor for Green, as he’s become increasingly violent on the floor while also consistently becoming a liability since he’s been unpredictable with his actions and always seems to merit a suspension by the league.
As Green awaits to hear how long he’ll be suspended for his on-the-floor antics against the Suns, Kendrick Perkins believes the NBA should make an example out of him by hitting him with a 25-game suspension, via NBA on ESPN.

Even though Green’s actions were inexcusable and made zero sense basketball sense, 25 games might be a little too harsh, but as a repeat defender who frequently puts opponents in danger physically, the league might give him a hefty suspension this time around.
At this point, Green deserves everything coming his way, as his frustration on the court is mounting, and his behavior has come into serious question, which might have the Warriors brass thinking they made a mistake by re-signing him to a four-year deal.
