The Denver Nuggets won their first NBA Championship in franchise history during the 2022-23 NBA season.

It was a sensational run by the Nuggets, led by none other than Nikola Jokic.

After obliterating opponents during the 2023 playoffs, the Nuggets have carried that form into the 2023-24 NBA season.

The Nuggets have started the new season with a great run, as they have a 5-1 record and hold the second seed in the Western Conference.

Upon seeing the Nuggets for just six games, NBA analyst Kendrick Perkins picked the Nuggets as the favorites to win it all this season via his official Twitter handle.

“Them people ain’t losing at the crib. Carry the hell on,” Perkins wrote.

If I’m Western Conference contender… I’m doing everything in my power to get home court advantage. Because if Jokic and Nuggets get that 1 seed again it’s over for everyone in the west! Them people ain’t losing at the crib. Carry the hell on…

The Nuggets are the defending champions of the world, and they may have lost a couple of players during the offseason, but they are still one of the best teams in the league.

Sure, there are other contenders in the West that could lift the Larry O’Brien trophy in the 2023-24 NBA season.

Coming back to what Perkins said, he believes every team in the Western Conference should try to stop the Nuggets from attaining the number one seed.

Perkins believes if the Nuggets get the home-court advantage during the playoffs, they will run rampant in the postseason.

Right now, the Nuggets are the second seed in the Western Conference, but they are tied for the best record with the Golden State Warriors.
