Athletes from around the United States have worked tirelessly over the past several weeks to get ready for the Olympics.
Whether for an individual sport like swimming or archery, or a team sport like basketball or handball, the clock is ticking for athletes to make their final adjustments.
Some events have already started, and the start of men’s basketball is only a few days away.
Team USA is trying to win their fifth-straight gold medal, assembling a roster of both veteran and younger players, hoping to catch the rest of the world by storm.
One veteran, Kevin Durant, is no stranger to international competition, and he’s more than prepared for the moment.
He wasn’t prepared to get dunked on in practice, however, and a photo of Anthony Edwards posterizing him has now made its rounds on social media.
Durant attempted to make a joke out of the situation, tweeting, “I tried Jennifer.”

No matter what Durant’s excuses might be about the situation, it doesn’t change the fact that young Edwards was able to throw down a ferocious slam dunk over him.
Durant might have a significant size advantage over Edwards, but Edwards’ athleticism was too much for him.
Edwards continues to be viewed as a starter for this team, even though he’s a young player with no international experience.
He is one of the best players in the NBA, at least according to many analysts, and, as a result, fans are looking forward to seeing what he can do with the rest of Team USA down the stretch.
