The 2023-2024 NBA Season has already been filled with a lot of drama.

The inaugural In-Season Tournament provided many fireworks, and there have been additional prevailing storylines to take over the league.

Draymond Green’s situation has been one of those storylines.

Green was suspended indefinitely after getting into two on-court fights this season, causing concern from his current and former teammates.

Kevin Durant was one former teammate to speak about Green’s behavior, discussing that Green needed help.

Green didn’t take these comments kindly as he said on his podcast, The Draymond Green Show.

As Durant said, via Law Murray, “I didn’t mean no ill will about what I said.”

Kevin Durant says that he is happy that Draymond Green is back while saying: “I didn’t mean no ill will about what I said. I know some people look at me as this malicious snake. Passive aggressive. I know how people feel about me sometimes.” pic.twitter.com/vxPrI47W6N

Durant believed that his comments were well-intentioned and that he wanted to see his former teammate improve.

Seeing Green lash out this way was surprising for Durant and Green’s head coach, Steve Kerr.

So many people wanted to ensure that Green was okay and that he got the necessary help to get him back on the court safely.

It appears that Green has officially served out his full suspension and will return to the Golden State Warriors in the coming days.

Fans will be interested to see what Green’s playing time looks like in his first few games back.

Kerr could slowly work him back into the rotation, putting him on a minute restriction to help him acclimate to the game plan.

However, knowing Green’s history, Kerr might also give him a full workload immediately, hoping not to stir the pot further.
