Once it’s all said and done, Kevin Durant will go down as one of the greatest players in NBA history.
Like him or not, there’s no one who can deny his skills and greatness, and putting an asterisk next to his two NBA championships is as unfair as it is flat-out wrong.
He’s embraced a villain-like persona since he left the Oklahoma City Thunder, and it seems like he’s actively trying to get people not to like him.
However, when it comes to fellow NBA players, everybody has no choice but to tip their hats to him.
That was on full display again during the latest Fanatics Fest, as he was spotted hanging out with the legendary Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (via ClutchPoints).

Granted, people don’t know the actual Kevin Durant; they just see what he wants them to see.
He’s unapologetic and will call it as it is, even if that means spending hours of his life arguing with fans on Twitter and social media.
But not even his biggest critic could say with a straight face that Durant isn’t one of the best scorers to ever lace them up.
He doesn’t have anything to prove at this point in his career, especially after also establishing himself as the best player in Team USA history.
Still, perhaps the only way to put an end to all that narrative around him would be to win a championship with the Phoenix Suns.
