Kevin Durant Reveals Thoughts On Suns’ Belief

The Phoenix Suns are on the cusp of getting swept in the first round by the Minnesota Timberwolves after getting blown out in Game 3 on their home floor.

The Suns’ offense has been flummoxed by the Timberwolves’ defense, while on the other end they’ve had no answers for Anthony Edwards, who is quickly establishing himself as the next superstar playoff performer.

Phoenix went all-in on a title when they traded for Bradley Beal in the offseason, but now team owner Mat Ishbia could be looking at an uncomfortable future given their lack of salary cap space and draft capital.

Even Kevin Durant hasn’t looked like himself as Minnesota’s done a good job of forcing him into tough looks any time he has the ball in his hands.

Durant has seen just about everything in his career, though coming back from an 0-3 hole is something that’s never been done before in league history.

Despite the insurmountable odds, Durant revealed that he and the team haven’t given up, via Gerald Bourguet of PHNX Sports.

“Kevin Durant said the Suns haven’t lost belief: ‘It’s a tough hill to climb right now, but I haven’t sensed that. Of course we’re pissed off cause we lost the game and we’re down 3-0 in the series….But we’re pros and we understand we got another opportunity,’” Bourguet reported.

Durant can’t be expected to say that the team’s given up yet, but this series appears all but done as the Suns haven’t shown they have the firepower or talent to overcome the Timberwolves.

As of now, Phoenix looks well on their way to getting swept and going into the summer with several tough questions to answer.
