Over the past decade or so, Kevin Durant has been one of the NBA’s very best players, and at age 35, he’s still at the top of his game.
But he only has so many good or great years left in him, and pretty soon, he, LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Nikola Jokic, and Giannis Antetokounmpo will have to give up their standing as the best players in basketball.
Durant said that in 10 years, Victor Wembanyama and Anthony Edwards will be the best players in the league, per Boardroom via Legion Hoops.

So far, Wembanyama has lived up to the hype during his rookie season, and he is currently averaging 20.5 points, 10.0 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and a league-leading 3.2 blocked shots a game this year.
He has stepped up his game, particularly his shooting efficiency, since the start of January, and he only turned 20 years of age on January 4, which makes him that much scarier.
At 7-foot-4, Wembanyama is already a nightmare on the defensive end, and if or when he develops a low-post game and improves his 3-point stroke, the rest of the NBA will be in tremendous trouble for many years to come.
Edwards is one of the game’s most explosive and confident players, and he has gradually improved his production over the last few years.
He’s putting up 26.3 points, 5.3 assists, and 5.2 rebounds a game this season, and he has helped the Minnesota Timberwolves post the best record in the Western Conference.
Some may also feel Luka Doncic, who is about to turn 25, could still be in the conversation for being the best player in the league in 10 years if he remains healthy and takes great care of his body.
He’s currently leading the NBA in scoring average while averaging 9.5 assists a game and shooting 37.5 percent from 3-point range.
