The United States men’s basketball team went to Paris with one goal in mind.
After winning the last four gold medals in Olympic competition, Team USA firmly believed that they had built a roster good enough to win it all again this year.
They have assembled a roster full of All-Stars, and some players on the team might make it to the Basketball Hall of Fame.
After cruising through their competition leading up to their recent matchup with Serbia, Team USA had to claw back in the fourth quarter, narrowly escaping with a win en route to the gold medal matchup with France.
This game was the epitome of drama, and the oldest players on the team, Steph Curry, LeBron James, and Kevin Durant, all played a massive part in this win.
Durant was interviewed after the game, which was shared by USA Basketball on Twitter.
“Everyone in here’s going to remember this night for the rest of their lives,” Durant proudly proclaimed.
A night we’ll never forget.

Durant understands how important this game was to Team USA, and he and his teammates did whatever they had to do to come away with a win.
It wasn’t pretty at times, but at the end of the day, a win is a win.
It appears that this team is ready to party and celebrate the victory over Serbia, but there is still one more game for them to play.
The team needs to stay focused and energized as they once again finish the job in international competition.
