Kevin Durant of the Phoenix Suns has represented America by playing with Team USA in the Olympics three times now.

And while he has come home with a gold medal each time, Durant wants 2024 to feature the most important and impressive Team USA performance yet.

Speaking on Boardroom, via NBACentral, Durant addressed his wishes for Team USA in the upcoming Olympics.

“I want to really make a statement on how dominant our players are. Like 40, 50-point wins. I want to do that,” Durant said.

Based on the latest reporting, winning by huge margins might be possible when Team USA travels to Paris this summer.

Aside from Durant, Stephen Curry, LeBron James, Jrue Holiday, Jayson Tatum, and Joel Embiid are also “locks” for the team.

That is quite a lot of star power and skill and should be enough to earn some massive victories.

Additionally, other players from across the league will want to join now that they know Durant and other future Hall of Famers are playing, perhaps for the last time.

With that being said, the global competition is stronger than ever before.

Some of the biggest names in the league right now are international stars.

In fact, the last five MVPs have been awarded to international players, including the last one that went to Embiid.

Many countries won’t let Team USA easily waltz to victory, which was made painfully clear during last summer’s FIBA World Cup.

Durant has high hopes for the Olympics and is obviously very intent on playing hard, but the rest of the world also wants to win.
