The WNBA keeps growing exponentially, and it’s heartwarming to watch NBA players also showing up to support their peers.
This wave of support started with Kobe Bryant, who became a huge advocate for women’s hoops and encouraged his colleagues to show up and root for the girls as well.
Now, with Bryant no longer among us and stars like Caitlin Clark and Angel Reese taking their talents to the WNBA, the league is finally getting the media attention and support they’ve been looking for for years.
Notably, that’s why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see Phoenix Suns star Kevin Durant pulling up to root for the Phoenix Mercury (Via NBA).

Durant wasn’t precisely a lucky charm, as they lost to the Dallas Wings to take their record to 3-2.
The Suns star has been spotted at WNBA games multiple times, so this isn’t much of a surprise.
Also, he’s close to Mercury star Brittney Griner.
There has been plenty of talk about the media attention going the league’s way since Caitlin Clark arrived on the scene.
Then again, at the end of the day, the only thing that matters is that people are finally turning their way, and that’s going to do wonders for their sport.
