Kevin Durant may not be the most popular player among NBA fans right now, but he’s madly in love with the game of basketball.
No one can question his work ethic, his determination, and his passion for hoops.
We’re talking about the ultimate gym rat, someone who continues to work on his craft despite already being one of the greatest players this game has ever seen.
That’s why, unlike most superstars who look forward to retirement and finally getting to enjoy their fortune, Durant is still all about basketball.
Talking to Vincent Goodwill of Yahoo Sports, the Phoenix Suns star claimed that he’s going to play until the wheels fall off.

Goodwill asked him whether he’d be okay with being a role player, to which Durant claimed that he’s always been a role player because he’s always been asked to play a certain role.
As for getting fewer touches, shots, or minutes, Durant even stated that he’d be okay with that if that were to be the case.
The former Oklahoma City Thunder star stated that he would continue to play for as long as the situation is favorable.
Durant doesn’t have a known life partner or children, and his entire life revolves around basketball.
That’s his one and only true love, and it’s nice to see that some players still cherish the game, want to make the most of it, and don’t want to cheat it.
Hopefully, injuries won’t force him to walk away from the game until he’s ready to leave on his own terms.
