The Miami Heat have high hopes and aspirations for the upcoming season.
They weren’t able to replicate their success from the previous campaign in the playoffs, as Jimmy Butler was out with an injury and the Boston Celtics were just too much to deal with.
Now, they return mostly the same core of players, meaning Butler and Bam Adebayo will have to do most of the heavy lifting again.
With that in mind, Kevin Love expressed just how excited he was about the fact that Adebayo had gotten the nod with Team USA again, as players usually come back significantly better from that experience (via Brendan Tobin).
Kevin Love excited for Bam Adebayo and his upcoming season: I spoke to him after he signed his contract. The former Minnesota Timberwolves star pointed out that Adebayo could even maybe get the chance to play more at the four, which could eventually translate into him playing fewer minutes in the regular season so he can be fresh for the playoffs.
He pointed out that multiple players have had career years after spending the summer with Team USA, and that’s a proven fact.
Even Adebayo himself came back better when he suited up for them already, so he knows that’s the way it goes.
Iron sharpens iron, and getting a chance to actually compete against the best players on Earth day after day will only push you to be better.
Like all Heat players, Adebayo is known for his grit, his toughness, and his work ethic, and with Erik Spoelstra being a part of Steve Kerr’s coaching staff, you know he’s going to make the most of every rep.
