The Golden State Warriors got their revenge on the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night, easily defeating them 114-97 in Game 3 to bring the series total to 2-1.
Big man Kevon Looney was a huge part of the win, scoring just 4 points but grabbing a whopping 20 rebounds.
Following the victory, reporter Evan Giddings asked Looney about a flattering statement that Warriors General Manager Bob Myers had for Looney.
Last week, Myers called Looney “Rodman-like” because of his ability to rebound.
Looney called that “great praise” especially coming from someone like Myers.
He also added that “sometimes as a rebounder, you can get in the zone” and that’s where he felt he was on Thursday night.

Myers’ compliment was very accurate during Game 3 because Looney showed many flashes of greatness that were comparable to what Dennis Rodman did during his time in the league.
Looney had 9 offensive rebounds and 11 defensive ones, giving the Warriors many second-chance opportunities and a lot of control of the ball.
Of the 59 rebounds for the team, Looney had 20 of them, which is a major feat.
It was very important for Looney to bring his A-game on Thursday because Game 3 was without Draymond Green.
Green’s suspension had many Warriors fans worried because he is known as a great rebounder and is important for assists too.
But Looney was solid in that department too, racking up 9 assists for the game.
The Warriors were able to win because of a team effort.
Stephen Curry scored 36 points and Andrew Wiggins was in playoff-form again with 20 of his own.
But the star showing of Looney is getting the most attention because he filled a huge void and played his heart out.
He is deserving of all the compliments he has received.
