After flaming out in the NFL playoffs last season by losing to the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs in the second round, the Buffalo Bills headed into the offseason frustrated and with an uncertain future ahead.
Although the Bills are a team that depends on the play of superstar quarterback Josh Allen to make them a legitimate Super Bowl title contender in the AFC, Buffalo made an interesting move during the NFL offseason to trade wide receiver Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans and let fellow wideout Gabe Davis walk in free agency where he signed with the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Obviously, losing the team’s two top wide receivers was questionable, especially with Allen depending heavily on both players to move the chains on a weekly basis.
However, the team brought in some potentially viable replacements, with Buffalo selecting promising youngster Keon Coleman in the 2024 NFL Draft and signing veteran wideout Marquez Valdes-Scantling in free agency.
Unfortunately for Buffalo, Valdes-Scantling suffered a concerning neck injury on Saturday in a preseason game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, but according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Network, X-rays were negative, which is a good sign moving forward.

Although the losses of Diggs and Davis during the offseason were costly, the Bills might be able to endure and continue to compete in the AFC with Coleman, Marquez Valdes-Scantling, Khalil Shakir, Mack Hollins, Curtis Samuel and KJ Hamler.
Along with some talented wide receivers on the roster, the Bills have two solid tight ends, Dalton Kincaid and Dawson Knox, who could potentially play big roles in the passing game in 2024.
