The Baltimore Ravens are looking to bounce back after a devastating loss in last year’s AFC Championship game at home to the Kansas City Chiefs, and after a strong offseason, Baltimore is locked and loaded to avenge that crushing defeat.
To do so, Baltimore will need everyone pulling in the same direction, and the team fortunately dodged a major scare after one of its key players was reportedly involved in a car accident.
ESPN’s Adam Schefter shared that superstar tight end Mark Andrews was involved in a car accident this morning on his way to team facilities, but after being evaluated by the team’s medical staff, they said he avoided any apparent injuries and he later joined the team for morning meetings.

Andrews released a statement, saying “I appreciate everyone’s thoughts and well wishes. This is a great reminder about the importance of wearing seatbelts and remaining alert while driving a car.”
Car accidents are always a scary situation and oftentimes you don’t realize you are hurt until the adrenaline of the situation wears off later on, so it’s great to see that Andrews went on about his day even though the accident itself was reportedly serious and caused a lot of damage to both vehicles involved.
Andrews played just ten games last season and put up a career-low 544 yards on 45 catches while scoring six touchdowns.
As Lamar Jackson’s go-to target, Andrews will once again be heavily relied upon this season after the team once again chose not to make any big additions to the wide receiver room.
