On Sunday night, LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers became only the second NBA player to score multiple 40-point games at age 39 or beyond.

He is second behind only Michael Jordan, who did it three times, while James has now done it twice.

On Monday’s “Undisputed,” Keyshawn Johnson said that there are big differences between Jordan and James at this point in their careers.

Most notably, Johnson claimed that James could be in the NBA for several more years.

“This LeBron seems like he could play another five years,” he said.

Johnson stated that Jordan wasn’t the same sort of player that James is at 39 years old.

He was obviously well-respected as a legend but didn’t play with the same sort of energy night after night.

In fact, he suggested that some players allowed him to score a lot and earn his 40-point games as a sign of respect.

Meanwhile, James is still highly competitive, plays many minutes, and is the most important person on the Lakers’ roster.

He also has remained remarkably healthy for his age and has only missed a few games this season.

Plus, he seems just as committed to winning as he was years ago.

All of this suggests that James could continue to play in the league for multiple seasons, according to Johnson.

That being said, James touched upon the idea of retirement on Sunday night.

When speaking with the press after the game, James made it clear that his time in the NBA is coming to an end.

It might not come this season or the next, but the Lakers icon knows his retirement is looming.

But at this point, no one would be surprised if James played well into his forties.
